Your goal is to let as many people as possible know that you live and breathe that particular industry.

  3. Contribute to publications. There are many online (and offline) publications looking for contributors. Making money from it isn't the initial goal. Instead, focus on sharpening your skills. And be consistent. In time, it will pay off.

  4. Publish blog content consistently.

  5. Participate in blog comments and chat forums to get your name out there.

  6. Encourage your clients/customers to leave online reviews. Online reviews help to improve your online visibility and increase your online footprint.

  7. Most people will google you and your brand before doing business with you. Make it easy for them to access your review profiles by creating a page on your website that features all review links.
